Aleksander Zyla awarded by the Minister of Culture and National Heritage of Poland

We are proud to announce that our scholar - Aleksander Zyla received a prestigious scholarship from the Minister of Culture and National Heritage of Poland for his artistic achievements. During the ceremony, Aleksander performed on violin lent by our foundation (violin by Jean Striebig 1944).

Pizzicato Foundation’s scholar – Julia Kalicka was invited to attend the 11th Jurassic Autumn Music Festival in Czest. Julia performed as soloist as well as in string trio.

Aleksander Zyla in Polish Radio in Katowice

Aleksander Zyla playing on violin by Jean Striebig gave an outstanding performance as a soloist with Archetti Orchestra in Polish Radio concert hall in Katowice. The concert was part of 33rd International Festival of Young Champions of Music Competitions in Katowice that took place on 15 October 2023. They performed Wieniawski Violin Concerto No. 1 in F-sharp minor, Op. 14, which is tremendously demanding music piece, requiring superior skills from violinist.

in the W. Wilkomirska Violin Competition

We are proud to inform that the scholar of Pizzicato Foundation - Matylda Wojtynska playing a violin by Bartosz Wozniak has won a distinction award in the 4th Wanda Wilkomirska Violin Competition in Czestochowa on 12 November 2022.
The level of this year's competition was exceptionally high with contestants presenting best of their skills.
